President-elect Donald J. Trump named a Nassau County judge, Joseph Nocella Jr., as the next U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of New York. Nocella Jr., a graduate of Columbia Law School, served as a prosecutor in that district from 1991 to 1995 and later practiced privately for more than a decade. “Nocella has a strong record of bringing law and order to the incredible people of New York,” Trump said in a statement.
