Eli Manning recently shared a humorous exchange with his father, Archie Manning, on social media, highlighting Archie's amusing texting habits. In a post, Eli revealed that his dad often signs his name after sending a text. The exchange showcased Archie's insights related to college football, specifically mentioning that Riley Leonard of Notre Dame and Will Howard of Ohio State were roommates at the Manning Passing Academy.

The context of Archie's message was particularly relevant, as Will Howard's Ohio State team had just defeated Archie's grandson, Arch Manning, and the Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff semifinal. The Buckeyes secured a 28-14 victory, with a key play coming from defensive end Jack Sawyer, who scored an 83-yard touchdown after stripping Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers of the ball, effectively sealing the game.

Despite a limited appearance in the game, Arch Manning contributed with a run that converted a fourth down, but Texas's comeback efforts ultimately fell short. With Quinn Ewers potentially entering the NFL Draft, Arch Manning may have an opportunity to start for the Longhorns next season.

On the other side, Notre Dame, led by Riley Leonard, managed to defeat Penn State 27-24 in a closely contested game. Leonard had a mixed performance, throwing for 235 yards with one touchdown and rushing for another, despite throwing two interceptions.

The two quarterbacks, who roomed together at the Manning Passing Academy, are set to face each other again on January 20 at 7:30 p.m. ET, creating an exciting storyline for college football fans.
