According to the report, longtime NBC host Chuck Todd is reportedly planning to leave the network after his contract expires this year. He has been meeting with other media organizations and has discussed possible roles in both broadcast and digital media. Todd has been less visible on the network since being replaced by Kristen Welker as the host of "Meet the Press" in 2023. 


Before being replaced, Todd was critical of NBC News for hiring Ronna McDaniel, the former Republican National Committee chair, as an analyst. He questioned the network's decision and openly expressed skepticism about NBC's treatment of journalists regarding McDaniel's hiring. As a result of the backlash, McDaniel's contract was terminated less than a week after being hired.

Chuck Todd's background includes hosting his own MSNBC program, "The Daily Rundown," and working as NBC's chief White House correspondent. NBC News has not provided an immediate response to comment on this report.
